Turns out Blade Man's design is a rather blatantly retooled one that was submitted back to the Nintendo Power Mega Man 6 contest that Knight Man and Wind Man won.

Normally I'd say it's a coincidence but the three swords, one of which is on his head/is his head, the color scheme AND THE NAME make it a bit too similar...

There's also a claim for Solar Man too but I really don't see the similarity.

Oh and Strike Man was a dick even before becoming evil, I think that's a first.

A new demo at the World Hobby Fair features Blade Man's stage in addition to Strike Man's. No videos yet and it isn't known if the Robot Masters have been added yet.

The mid-boss of Blade Man's stage is the castle robot from the promotional video it's weak point is its eyes.

Some achievement names released, same names as Mega Man 9's for the most part. Mega Man 9 also had way more than the initial release showed so it's safe to expect more.
