- Capcom has an 'epic' retooling of the Rockman series as a 'cinematic style' game, in order to bring back the series. The game is set for next-gen consoles. Surfer Girl hasn't heard much on this rumour lately, so she doesn't currently make much of it.

I hope this isn't going to turn out like the next Bionic Commando game.  It's like everybody wants to rip off something from Splinter Cell...

- Throughout 2008, Capcom have a bunch of announcements to make regarding Rockman's 20th Anniversary, of games and merchandise alike. Some of these announcements seem to be very important ones.

"Megaman has lifted his foot.  Isn't that wonderful?"

- Unfortunately, for all the Smash Bros. followers, Rockman won't debut in the latest Smash title: Smash Bros. Brawl.

Naka said that about Sonic and look what happened.

- Some more of the older Rockman games are intended for remakes, with the possible titles unknown.

Megaman 2: Powered Up?  Maverick Hunter X2?  Please, add something this time around.  MMPU got popularity because of so many characters it added.  MHX didn't get as much because of the lack of playability, and the fact it pretty much played exactly the same.  Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles does the same thing, of course, but there's the fact that it's a remake of a game we've never played.

- The upcoming "Megaman Zero Official Complete Works" is scheduled for a February release. A member of the RPM Forums, Protoman Blues, has already had confirmation from an Udon representative regarding this, so it may actually be true!

- Upcoming sourcebook "Rockman and Rockman X Complete Works" may unveil the unknown events between the two respective series.

EVERYBODY says that.

- Capcom USA is planning a 20th Anniversary soundtrack to be released in Spring (Autumn in the southern hemisphere Cheesy).

And The Mega Man Network is planning to upload contents of said soundtrack which is likely to just be a re-released soundtrack instead of proper remixes.

- The futures of the ZX and Ryuusei no Rockman series are under speculation, with the next ZX title under discussion by Capcom, and a third installment of Ryuusei has started development (first info to be released May/June)

Fix DMMZ's continuity, and do at least keep Ryuusei consistent.

- Capcom is seeking a producer and a director, for an unknown title.

How utterly surprising!  Any more details there?

- The upcoming Wii Rockman will continue on from an series left incomplete.

It's clearly obvious what this one means, though I wouldn't be surprised if it was the fabled Rockman 9.
