And now for something completely different: I shall make my first compilation review. FWHAHAHAHA.... anyways. MegaMan: The Wily Wars is a little known compilation of MegaMan 1 - 3 on the Sega Genesis, featuring 16 bit graphics and slightly upgraded music. Well does this make it better, let us find out!

Gameplay: The gameplay is pretty much the same; the only things that changed were the following. In all the games bosses receive a temporary invincibility after being hit, so that Thunder Beam trick in MegaMan 1 won't work, sorry. The games also play slightly slower, very noticeable when fighting either Yellow Devil. The games all feature a save feature (this will not work in emulators, pirates). And finally, the difficulty in MegaMan 2 is gone, you'll have to play it on hard whether you like it or not.

Music: The music is all remixes of the NES tracks, often with some odd results, I personally do not find them too be as good as the originals. But that's just me.

Translation: It fixed the few translation errors that did exist in the first three games, goodie.

Length: Three games and the bonus? Hell this should keep you happy damn it.

Bonus: This game features new graphics and updated music, which some people may enjoy. The game also features an additional game unlockable after beating MegaMan 1, 2, and 3, Wily's Tower. In this game you can use ANY 8 weapons from the first three and any three items from the first game. Here is my own favorite setup:

You'll also find enemies AND hazards from the first three games, including QuickMan's beloved beams. You'll also get to fight three new bosses, and another fortress stage. Overall anyone who enjoyed the first three games should enjoy this.

Plot: The plots are the same as their respective games, Wily's Tower as far as I can tell really doesn't have a plot.

Difficulty: With the bosses now gaining temporary invincibility the difficulty is slightly higher, anyone who could beat the first three games can handle it though.

This is one of the only compilations to have new material in it, kind of sad huh?

Positive: Wily's Tower.

Negative: Top Spin, Force Beams, etc.

Total: 93/100 = 93 %

93 + 87.058823529411764705882352941176 (MegaMan 1) + 93 (MegaMan 2) + 91.5 (MegaMan 3) = 364.55882352941176470588235294117

364.55882352941176470588235294117/4 = 91.139705882352941176470588235293 %
