Yup, the stage-making tournament is back in town! If you recall Stage Wars, the theme has remained unchanged: create a stage from a game that isn't a fighting game. Naturally this includes, platformers, shooters, dating sims, whatever the hell you want. This time, however, there will be special bonuses depending on what you do with your stage. I will post these in more detail on my forum.

Another new addition is the prize. Aside from an honorary banner, the first place winner will receive credits toward the current gen console of your choice, courtesy of Aztec Soldier, worth about $20-$30. If you don't own a current gen console, you will receive a comparable amount via a prepaid card.

So let's meet our judges! They are:

Your entries should be posted in the appropriate thread at my forum and e-mailed to stagemastertournament AT gmail DOT com before May 4th. Please enclose a readme with some background on the stage, including game source, reasons why you made this stage, and any other bits of trivia you feel you would like to express, such as how you put the stage together. Please do not code in Stage Interactivity, as that requires too much work and extends into character editing, which falls outside what this tournament is about. If there are any other questions or comments, please let me know.

OH YEAH, one final thing. Don't bring any drama that is not involved with the tournament into the tournament. This tournament is meant to be a fun, competitive event, and no outside influences should detract from it.

GOOD LUCK

Jango

YO just posting to say that, due to numerous complaints I received about time being an issue, I've decided to extend the deadline to May 23rd. That's right, that's more than two extra weeks to work on your entries. Hopefully this should take off some pressure.
