If you are a good spriter and want to join in on this project, feel free to message or just say so in a post right here. If you join, you'll be given credit for your work and be known as part of the team that set a new standard for Mugen Megaman X and potentially creating an open sourced base for all future reploid creations.

My current ideas for gameplay, concerning character movement are:
Forward Dash (Forward, Forward)
Backward Dash (Back, Back)
Double Jump (Up, then Up again while in mid-air)
Super Jump (Down, Up) - Cannot double stack with double jump
Air Forward Dash (Forward, Forward while in mid-air)
Air Backward Dash (Back, Back while in mid-air)
Wall Slide (Back, Back while next to the wall in mid-air)
Wall Climb (Hold Back during Wall Slide+Press appropriate direction of the wall. For Example: Hold back+Left to climbing left wall)
Roll (Hold Down+Forward or Backward, depending on direction you want to travel

During Wall Slide:
Punch
Kick
Buster Shot
Jump Off Wall will transition into a regular air state, which will allow him to perform default air attacks (punches, kicks, specials, etc)

This is an open source project, the only conditions being that no one uses any part of this character for closed source characters or hentai characters. Yeah, these sprites are looking nice. It'll be nice to have X in MUGEN or in a fighting platform at all for that matter. Do you also plan on making Zero? Just curious, nice job. :)

We have 2 Xs (Chaotic's and Magma Dragoon's) but neither are any good.

Thanks, and I am in need of spriting assistance. Do you do MVC style spriting? The fastest way to contact me for Mugen purposes is to PM me on Mugen Fighter's Guild. I will try to check up on this thread more often, though. Now that there is some feedback.

I never finished spriting Symbiote Spider-Man. I was going to consider revamping all the animations, attacks and such, but then realized it would take forever. So I decided not to. Not to mention, while I WAS working on him, his coder backed out.

No Zero is planned at this time.

Both are my inspiration to make my Megaman X good. Without their attempts, I most likely wouldn't decided to work on him.

Forte already has been made, btw. You can just edit him if you can get permission. He's in the IMT database.

@JZ: Yeah, Bass over at IMT was sprited really well. So well in fact he looks like an official work. I'm sure they wouldn't mind if you asked JZ to code your own version of him.

Thanks, as we speak, a Nightmare Zero ground punch is being made and a dash punch is being made also. Once I get both, I will animate it and let you guys see it. We also have someone working on Z Saber attacks too. :)

That's correct. The light colored X sprites are the original beta appearance ones that I first edited from AxKeeper. The walk cycle will be redone if we need to use it. We plan to make a run instead.
