It's Nintendo, we all know how much they love making things online.

In other words don't hold your breath.

Online play or no buy.

This is Mario.  What good is online play if it's only co-op?

UHMEEEEBA

So you wouldn't want to have online co-op with your internet friends Fusion?

Guess you must really hate Left 4 Dead.

MC2

This looks pretty cool actually.

So now that I'm stuck with nothing but a Wii all these cool games start coming out.

I don't own L4D.

But I was generally poking at what kind of sense it'd make to have an online feature in a Mario game that isn't Mario Kart.

UHMEEEEBA

It doesn't matter anyways Miyamoto just confirmed at his conference the game does not have online support.

Way to alienate 80% of the modern-day multiplayer fanbase. Dumbasses.

Just try to keep things peaceful.

Why is online play so damn important?  Does the concept of single player mean nothing now?

MC2

I have a best friend and two brothers who are all gamers to enjoy this with, so I still have a good enough reason to play it.

And that too.

Jesuszilla

Single player is fine (hell that's mostly the only option I HAVE), but if one of your initial selling points is, "HEY FUCKERS LOOK AT THIS! WE HAVE 4 PLAYER CO-OP!" then yeah you better damn make sure that this multiplayer option is fucking good.

UHMEEEEBA

Jesus pretty much stole my point, if they're treating co-op as the main selling point (which they are you can watch the early conference or read the transcript of the Miyamoto one) it's counter intuitive to NOT support online.
