Ah yes, MegaMan X3, the game from which your silly Admin came from. This first post is rating the SNES version; I shall rate the PSX version later after I have played it on the Anniversary Collection.

Gameplay: Continuing on with the same basic gameplay in X1 and X2. This game does add a few new things though. The first noticeable one is that Zero is playable; you can't fight bosses or sub-bosses with him (with the exception of one) which limits your usage of him. In addition if Zero dies you can't use him again. The 4 Light Capsules, heart tanks, and Sub-tanks all return. But in addition there are also 4 special chip enhancements that can give you even more special abilities, such as a double air dash. This game also has varying fortress bosses depending on whether or not you have killed certain bosses earlier; a unique feature not used that much in later games. Ride Armors are also now upgrades that must be found in order to be used then can be used in any stage by stepping on the Ride Armor platform. While this game doesn't have any of the Street Fighter moves in it, it does have two unlockable upgrades. Overall this one's gameplay is quite decent.

Music: Like X2, there are a few good tracks, and a few repetitive tracks. Overall it isn't too bad.

Translation: No real cause for concern. They do call X MegaMan in a few of the dialogue sequences which are kind of bad though.

Length: On par with MegaMan 7, an intro stage, the 8 Maverick Stages, 4 Fortress Stages and a hidden Sub Stage. Overall quite good.

Rehash Factor: Everyone's favorite Boba Fett look-alike is back: Vile. In all honesty, I have no idea why the hell they added Vile back, but it led to his now cult status. The fact he fights like he did in X1 with some minor upgrades doesn't help the Rehash Case. Despite this, most of the remaining content is new, so it isn't really that bad.

Plot: Dr. Doppler created an anti-virus to the Maverick Virus, oh wait no he didn't he was lying as is going to take over the world, oh wait it's really Sigma again. Oh and if you kill Zero Doppler suddenly has an anti-virus? In addition to being both clichéd and contradictory, this plot is just lacking.

Difficulty: Kaiser Sigma is right up there with Wily Machine VII as annoyingly difficult final boss. Despite this, you can take the loser's way out and use the Golden Armor and the Z-Saber to kill him. Regardless this though this could be seen as being on the cheesy side just a bit.

Total: 87/100 = 87 %

Overall not too bad, unlike the last two games this one at least tries to offer a challenge.

Positive: The fact you can now kill Vile in his Ride Armor to make up for all those times in MegaMan X where you had to stand still and let him hit you.

Negative: Dr. Doppler's second stage with that part where you have to climb the spike wall on the backs of those things, is stupid.
