Ah yes MegaMan 2: The Power Fighters, it follows the same basic format as its predecessor, but now Robot Masters aren't placed by game and there are three different Fortress Bosses. In addition Duo is now playable.

Gameplay: Pretty much everything from the predecessor is back. Bosses get stronger with each one you kill, there's a Fortress Boss after the 6 Robot Masters then Wily. The characters in addition to having different sliding moves now have supports that either make them invincible or help them to fight depending on the character. In addition unleashing a Charge Shot while holding up will make your character do a Street Fighter move it would seem; Bass with the Flash kick is kind of weird. Bosses also change strategies half way through battle this time around.

Music: More remixed goodness with some odd choices here and there, such as PlantMan using CrashMan's theme and CentaurMan using JunkMan's. In addition once in a Blue Moon when fighting ElecMan it will play his old NES music. ShadeMan lacks his alternate GNG remix, this time around though.

Translation: The lines that are in the game are translated with no noticeable errors.

Rehash Factor: 9 of the eighteen bosses, CutMan, GutsMan, HeatMan, GeminiMan, GyroMan, NapalmMan, PlantMan, ShadeMan, and SlashMan were already in Power Battles, they're return here is kind of redundant. The other 9 are, ElecMan, BubbleMan, AirMan, QuickMan, ShadowMan, PharaohMan, DiveMan, StoneMan, and CentuarMan.  Yellow Devil returns but is now joined with Mad Grinder from MegaMan 7 and Mech Dragoon from MegaMan 2. Overall it rehashes just as much as its predecessor.

Length: Same thing as the preceding game, without stages it could be seen as slightly short.

Plot: The Plot basically consists of this, Roll is Missing, Some of Light's Parts are missing and Wily is AWOL. These also are the difficulty levels, and it's kind of a lacking plot, but hey at least it is one.

Total: 87/100 = 87 %

Overall quite an improvement over the original.

Positive: That Stone dude is in it.

Negative: So is QuickMan.
