Ah yes MegaMan IV, according to Neon this is the greatest game in the history of ever as it has both ToadMan and StoneMan in it.

Gameplay: This game was the first MegaMan game to have a currency system in it, in this case P-Chips. You can use these P-Chips to buy various items from Dr. Light including E-Tanks, W-Tanks and other goodies. Being that this was the first game with this it does get some points for that. While the screen is still small Capcom made this less noticeable and the backgrounds are easier to see MegaMan on. One noticeable complaint however is when doing a charge shot MegaMan will fly backwards slightly, that can get annoying fast.

Music: Same basic format as MegaMan III (Gameboy), right down to bosses have music from their respective game the first time you battle them. In addition Ballade's theme is one of my all time favorites.

Translation: The game actually has text this time ZOMG. In addition I can't really find anything wrong with it.

Length: Follows a near identical format to the previous game. Although the final stage this time has more bosses in it.

Rehash Factor: There are more new Fortress type bosses in this game than the previous ones. However that does not change the fact that 8 bosses have returned. NapalmMan's stage is noticeably different.

Plot: Dr. Wily has a new Robot Mind controlling device thing that conveniently does not work on MegaMan. He uses this to steal Cossack's 4 bots from some Robot Convention. And they really don't say much besides that, you eventually fight Ballade, the 4 MM5 dudes, Ballade again and Wily. At least they gave an explanation for him having Cossack's guys I guess.

Difficulty: Pretty average, nothing really cheap. Maybe a tad too easy.

Total: 85/100 = 85 %

Overall not too bad of a game for a game that rehashes so much. Probably one of the better GameBoy games.

Positive: This is the first GameBoy game with a Capsule/Teleport Room.

Negative: If you forget to get Beat in the first four stages and go to the Middle stage, you cannot get him.
