The classic series first and only, SNES game. Unless you count MegaMan Soccer in which case you are retarded. How did it fair? Well let's find out.

Gameplay: This game was the first of any of the "normal" classic series to adopt the "Gameboy" Classic series idea of splitting the bosses up four at a time, an idea that almost became a staple of the series. While this adds a bit to the game, unless you use the secret glitch password that allows you to choose all 8 from the start this limits your choices in the game. The weapons are rather decent, Freeze Cracker being a Frozen Metal Blade for all essential purposes and a shield that actually was useful for once! The game also features a new armor that combines aspects of both from MegaMan 6. However, despite all of this, the game does have somewhat of a "been there, done that" feel to it, given the amount of old stage elements that were revived, despite that though Capcom still manages to make it work fairly well. Overall there's enough to keep most players satisfied.

Music: Suffers from the same thing as 5 and 6, the music just isn't as memorable. Unfortunately, the SNES hardware also can make a few of the tracks sound bad.

Translation: There's a few typos and unneeded/missing punctuation here and there:

8 out of 10

Length: Doesn't suffer from the two fortress syndrome, and thus is probably one of the most decent MegaMan games in this respect.
15 out 15

Rehash Factor: There is the return of GutsMan, however GutsMan fights NOTHING like his MegaMan 1 counterpart, so this isn't really rehashing. Besides that Wily keeps the now obligatory final form, and there are a few reused pieces of music.

Plot: This game actually has a somewhat decent plot, they don't hide the fact its Wily and they introduce Bass and his betrayal of MegaMan although cliché, does up the plot points a bit.
8 out 10

Difficulty: For the most part it's pretty easy but there are also hard parts, among which include the return of Force Beams in TurboMan's stage and Wily's final form will probably rape you at least once. Having said that it has a nice blend of difficulty so it's pretty decent.14 out of 15

Total: 88/100 = 88 %

Overall a fairly decent game, I'd recommend it.

Positive: Challenging final boss.

Negative: No time freezing abilities in TurboMan's stage.
