Nintendo's E3 direct begins in less than eight minutes.

Mario's 3D Wii U title is Super Mario 3D World, which is to say a console version of Super Mario 3D Land, like New Super Mario Bros. Wii versus the DS game. Well at least Peach is playable this time.

Mario Kart 8 was also announced.

Also got to say Nintendo dropped the ball here this thing is near unwatchable with how much it's lagging.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze announced now featuring swimming and the return of Dixie Kong. Whether or not this is Retro's super secret project "everybody wanted them to do" is unconfirmed.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS now with Animal Crossing Villager and get this MEGA MAN. Planned for 2014.

It was a fairly safe showing, and while I love Donkey Kong Country I am sort of disappointed the project Retro was hyping up for years now was a sequel. Sure I'll still love the shit out of it though. At the very least looks like the software drought will subside for awhile.

Though really if Nintendo does this in lieu of a conference again next year they need a better service than ustream that lag was unbearable.

This has been the best E3 in years though even with Microsoft's gigantic fuck ups.

Edit: Also some footage of Yoshi's New Island for the 3DS. It doesn't have to try hard to be better than the abomination that was Yoshi's Island DS.
