Jango

Stop me if this has already been mentioned elsewhere, but now that MUGEN supports palette-changing mid combat, I just thought of a use for it: making a Megaman with in-game weapon-changing.

EDIT 1: Also I spriteswapped Scrooge last night and made Metalman in precisely one hour. All that's left is to recode the gethit/death, and edit sounds.

EDIT 2: I watched a trap video that one of Titiln's friends posted on Renegade MUGEN, and Youtube recommended Torgo's theme. I THINK I SEE A CONNECTION HERE

I don't see why not but you'd be limited to 11 weapons besides the Mega Buster.

I suppose with Mega Man 10 coming out soon you could use one from each game counting Mega Man & Bass. I had a similar idea for an April Fools project but I wasn't liking how it was turning out.

As for Metal Man you'd actually be the second one to do that, there was a really old Dos era Metal Man that I ended up with a private beta of after stating Metal Man was awesome in #mugen, yeah #mugen. That should given you an idea of how old it was.

It had a lot of bugs though and could only attack in the air and even then his attack was weak as hell so a good working one would be nice.

Also I may have a nefarious idea of something else you can do with Metal Man.

Jango

Does it involve the Rat from Duck Tales? :o

Someone already made an X with palettes that change with weapons.

Some more of youtube being retarded:

QuoteSennoma says (7:50 PM):
Well while I was in class I decided to mess around with youtubes recommended feature some more.

Sennoma says (7:51 PM):
You know the whole not wanting to fall asleep due to dull lectures type thing.

Sennoma says (7:52 PM):
Jango's Totos Santo video about you caused this (some footage of some dude playing Street Fighter 4): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68tl-O-EQHQ and this (an Australian NES commercial): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcSt05XUYwM

Sennoma says (7:53 PM):
Watching my own video where I fought your cat guy caused youtube to recommend this (honestly I don't know about this one): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJwcaOX1O7g this (a Mugen video by a guy named Koopa Koot): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0ksfXOlGaY and Jango's top five fatality video.

Sennoma says (7:54 PM):
Finally Jango's eel video also caused this (remix of Kefka's theme): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0HayRJUUos this (some dude hacking THAT GAME's music): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-UhqWZE1j18 this (a Scout is Delicious response): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMbRN8DYNA0 and FINALLY this (some fruity song): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhUcSbbURyc

Jango your eel video is trying to form a network to take over the world, somehow.

Jesuszilla

I thought we concluded that it was due to the viewers afterwards watching said videos that caused it?

That's still a pretty bad way of doing it.

Jesuszilla

Indeed.... I never thought I'd say this, but the old way (using tags) was much better.

Their attempt at preventing tag abuse has.... failed. They've kinda rendered tags useless, which is why Jango and I rarely ever use serious tags anyway.
