Making some progress here.

Gameplay: The saving grace of this game is it has the best gameplay of the entire Zero series. First and foremost that silly Weapon Upgrading shit is gone! All your weapons are at their max levels, but as expected the Rod was replaced with a new one, the Recoil Rod. The Recoil Rod is different; basically it knocks enemies back into other enemies. If fired straight down while charged you will go up. Ex-Skills return and are got in the same manner as Zero 2. Mission Objectives return, but for the most part are easy to do (the one possible exception being Chilldre Inarabitta's stage). If you are having difficulty with the game you can go through these Blue Door's to the Cyber Area, where all your Cyber Elves activate (without killing them), which makes that section of the stage easier. You can also slaughter the elves the old way if you choose. Finally, there also these little data disk thingies that gives you information on the characters, enemies, and bosses in the game.

Music: A mixed bag. A few tracks are decent a few suck. Reborn Mechanics, Omega Battle, and Water City are fairly decent. But there are also the crappy ones such as Trail on Powdery Snow (Yes that's a track title I'm not making it up), Submerged Memory, and sadly the final battle theme, Cannon Ball (again where are they getting these names?). Four tracks from Zero 1 (Crash, Infiltration, For Endless Fight and Neo Arcadia) return along with one from Zero 2 (the murdered version of Sand Triangle). Could be better, but sadly it isn't.

Translation: Well,

Mostly minor typos.

Length: A good amount of stages, although there are only two fortress stages, which is a tad odd. Length wise though it's actually probably a tad on the long side being a fairly long game.

Rehash Factor: Anubis Necromancess V, Blizzack and HanuMachine return as bosses. Copy X also returns and uses his first form from Zero 1 again. In addition in the second to last stage there is another returning boss hanging out for you to find. In addition as mentioned in the Music section, several tracks are reused in this game. Finally some graphics are cheaply reused; Hanumachine's stage and the final battle come to mind.

OH SNAP!

Plot: Given the fact the Zero Series' had its plot FUBARed by MMX6 it's no wonder this plot came off as a tad cliché. Basically, it's this; Dr. Fishbowl with Beer in it was banished from Neo Arcadia 100 years ago for some shit. You find out later he built Omega and caused the Elf Wars and lots of people died etc. And somehow, unexplained, he gets Zero's old body (which looks like the same Zero as you due to the art style) and you fight it in the most pathetic final boss battle ever. Overall, it strikes me as cliché.

Difficulty: About on par with Zero 2, once you beat Volteel Biblio and get his Shadow Dash (which makes you invincible during dashes), it becomes pathetically easy.

Total: 80/100 = 80 %

Overall probably the best game in the series gameplay wise, new content would make it superior to Zero 2.

Positive: Volteel Biblio, is the most pathetic boss ever, it's funny.

Negative: Cubit Foxtar is a DUDE
