I'm used to getting lots of questions but this seems pretty dead. (and oh cool the viewcount is 666 lol)

Since there's no interest in that special Iori nor interesting questions, I have no reason to keep this topic.  The only ones who have shown interest already have access to Dorj. :P

So much for having fun again.

Topic dies tomorrow, maybe.

Have a grenade and stuff:

The first 8 frames you posted occur during hitpause.

Basically, when you hit an opponent both you and the enemy are frozen for the amount of time specified by the hitpause. During this time, the sprite that is displayed for player 2 is the first one of his gethit animation.

In King of Fighters 99, the hitpauses for light moves were still using the standard set by King of Fighters 98 (11,13 and 11,12 respectively I think).

It wasn't until modern KOF games that the hitpause for light moves was changed to 7,9 and 7,8.

This difference you are seeing is the difference in hitpauses. :)

If you wish to obtain 100% correct data for this, I would recommend you checking the debug animation viewer and getting the timings from there.

Alternatively, just follow the timings the way I or KoopaKoot set them up (in my case, check Jhun Hoon).

So far 6/11 palettes.

for the new page.

Okay, guys. I really need several things in order to release this Iori.

1. I need a MAX2 portrait.

Dimensions: 320 x 57.

Sample:

2. I need Mary gethits. Contact me if you need the SFF for reference.

Sheet:

3. I need 11 palettes, properly indexed. I will not adapt them if they're wrong.

Also note: If you make a palette that makes use of the "moon" colors just note that the set I was given does not have edits for all the frames, so you may want to ignore those.
I made this:

Sample:

RULES AND REWARDS

1. Iori will be released if and only if all of the above are met.
2. I will select winners based on this: 1 winner for best palette entries, and everyone who worked on the Mary gethits.
3. Entries made by KoopaKoot do not count towards the total.

Winners will receive permanent access to Dorj, my development folder. This folder is updated with ALL of my betas and updates as I make them, including unreleased stuff.

Those who won will have access to this Iori, even if release conditions are not met.

MUGEN WIPs / Re: NGBC Mars People + Akari Update
« on: January 13, 2013, 05:36:22 PM »
So due to Vans having an artmoney table for NGBC, I was able to get the correct data I needed for my characters. Therefore I'm in the process of updating Akari as well as developing Mars People.

Now the update to Akari is already complete, but I want to make it a complete update. Meaning, I need dizzy sprites (NGBC sorely misses them) and maybe even a cheap k.o animation. (I added it to Mars People though)

So if there's anybody with the skills, and feels like helping me out with this. That'll be cool.

By the way Mars People is at 50%. Missing 2 specials and his supers.

Excellent. Can't wait to test both. :)

I would prefer doing something KOF-related, but if I find it interesting then definitely yes.

Well, I finished both characters almost 2 weeks ago. One still needs portraits though.

I'll probably release soon.

Currently working on a super secret project.
