Title: New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Post by: UHMEEEEBA on June 02, 2009, 11:27:42 AM
It's 4 Player co-op. (http://corrupt, adulterating shitbags.com/5275748/nintendo-reveals-the-new-super-mario-bros-wii)

Apparently the Koopa Kids are back (http://www.gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=84648).

This alone makes the game 10 times better.

It's Nintendo, we all know how much they love making things online.

In other words don't hold your breath.

Online play or no buy.

This is Mario.  What good is online play if it's only co-op?

So you wouldn't want to have online co-op with your internet friends Fusion?

Guess you must really hate Left 4 Dead.

This looks pretty cool actually.

So now that I'm stuck with nothing but a Wii all these cool games start coming out.

I don't own L4D.

But I was generally poking at what kind of sense it'd make to have an online feature in a Mario game that isn't Mario Kart.

It doesn't matter anyways Miyamoto just confirmed at his conference (http://corrupt, adulterating shitbags.com/5276497/liveblogging-shigeru-miyamotos-developer-round-table) the game does not have online support.

Way to alienate 80% of the modern-day multiplayer fanbase. Dumbasses.

Why is online play so damn important?  Does the concept of single player mean nothing now?

I have a best friend and two brothers who are all gamers to enjoy this with, so I still have a good enough reason to play it.

Single player is fine (hell that's mostly the only option I HAVE), but if one of your initial selling points is, "HEY FUCKERS LOOK AT THIS! WE HAVE 4 PLAYER CO-OP!" then yeah you better damn make sure that this multiplayer option is fucking good.

Jesus pretty much stole my point, if they're treating co-op as the main selling point (which they are you can watch the early conference or read the transcript of the Miyamoto one) it's counter intuitive to NOT support online.

I'm just surprised they didn't put Princess Peach in the 4th player slot (sup SMB2), and instead threw in Another T'

They can't save if she's in the party Jango.

And I really doubt the processing argument, the Wii can handle Brawl and FREAKING Mario Kart online and those too are a lot more complicated to process than a simple platformer.

He can go back to saving Daisy then, and with Princess on the team, that means HOT GIRL ON GIRL ACTION.

Turns out the real reason Peach isn't playable is because Nintendo is too lazy to animate her skirt. No really. (http://corrupt, adulterating shitbags.com/5384278/miyamoto-asked-why-peach-isnt-playable-looks-to-skirt-issue)

You know it's the 21st century if that's really too much for Nintendo to do their is an alternate solution,

pants.

Wouldn't even need to be Peach.

There's another Princess that has a color scheme that could easily be the yellow color player whose dress doesn't have a floating property and she's best known for announcing her name along with a greeting.

Daisy if you didn't get it.

Well you said they could rescue Daisy and Fusion said Daisy could rescue Peach so it's technically not the same thing.

Yes but he doesn't actually move once by himself, so in effect he did nothing.

Though I'd think that'd take a nice bit of skill to pull off.  Even though Luigi did nothing, that's a good part of the entire video.

The games boss fights, with the exception of Bowser, for those who are interested. In addition to his new Vegetable hair Iggy's now MUCH taller, and psychotic. I think they messed up his and Lemmy's personalities.

On a humorous note I just realized, Kamek is a boss and all he does is spam projectiles and dudes to help him fight, IRONY.

This is probably the best level in the game. Remember that one level in Super Mario World's Vanilla Dome with the skull raft? Well it's back... but it's gotten some upgrades.

Here mute that video and play this over it instead.
