Some news sites are already riding the hype train, making it look like they just took a Final Fight: Streetwise summary, and then took out phrases and ran it through a generator filling in the blanks with Street Fighter-related material.
I think Capcom can make it not suck, it's just going to be difficult sell after so long.
Especially if they keep it a 2d fighter, which they should if you ask me, but that's just me.
Of course there is still a lot that go wrong with it.

Ok so two days ago, there was a supposed leak of information on a new version of SFe listing the new characters. It was just sort of brushed aside at the time as just someone trying to be a troll... but the list happened to include "Juri" as a new character, and well above there's a picture of a new character, named Juri. So either someones REALLY good at guessing names, or someones REALLY good at faking pictures, or someone found out about Juri ahead of time and bullshitted the rest of the list using Juri for credibility. So yeah take this with a grain of salt at this point... a large grain of salt, but still.

- Juri's top may bear a vague resemblance to Shiki, with a bit of Hinata hair.
- Expect the return of the many familiar supers, and a few new ones like Metsu Shoryuken (note: Obviously, this guy didn't know that Metsu Shoryuken isn't new). Return of Kikosho, Sonic Hurricane, Denjin(Gouken), Tiger Cannon.
- Expect sick names like Breathless, Yoga Shangri-La, Psycho Punisher and Demon Armageddon.
- Expect a lot of air activated ultras, i.e; Siberian Blizzard, Gief's ****ing air 720. Yes, you read that correctly.
- Return of the bonus stage.

Capcom seems to have really bad retention rates with voice actors in these games.

Voice makes the character, Capcom. Don't change it.
I'd be happy with them blatantly reusing his old sound clips and having him fucking speak in sign language in the cutscenes.
With his gloves on, he'd create a new sign language for boxers, it'd involve punching random passerbys.

Not digging Dudley's new voice but I like the new Rolling Thunder. I'd like to point out when they draw Dudley you can see part of his car in the background.
Hopefully the Japanese voice will be better, I didn't like it either.

Makoto's japanese voice actress is the same one from Third Strike, so you can start bitching about Dudley not having his, now.
It's easier to get previous Japanese voice actors (see Alex in TVC and note that all the tatsunokos have their original voice actors, (even Rock Volnutt, Batsu and Soki have their original voice actors)).
Also Makoko can do Seichuusen Godan-zuki while Tanden Renki is active.

Before I manage a Spice and Wolf post, I must pay tribute to the greatest reason I've not been writing lately, and that honor belongs to mai waifu, ninja blades. While I mentioned on the new about page she is my only true love, I'm not sure how often I've written about it on here.
We met for the first time in Super Street Fighter e just 12 minutes ago. I was a young weeaboo discovering the joys of being Homer Simpson and Moe Syzlak, when I heard about this game called "Street Fighter". At the time she was dating a friend, which I strongly disapproved of...we didn't get off to a good start, and dat raccoon was very cute.
Though, I had never liked fighting games in the past, Street Fighter opened a big path for it in my life. I learned to appreciate through Street Fighter's high speed and simplicity why the previous generation liked games like King of Fighters. Not that they have any excuse to now, but in the past I can see what made it attractive.
The battle for each frame, the impulse drive that forces you to look for an opening. Love it! Despite our rough start, I began to get an appreciation for ninja blades's style. Dangerous, outgoing, and unpredictable. She won me over with her carefree attitude and was fun to play with. Lots of tricks, but a true method to madness. It didn't take me long to play Street Fighter Alpha and learn her back story. (They should make a Street Fighter Alpha anime, by the way.)
Is it wrong? Does it help? I don't know the answer to those questions, but I know...I know at one point I fell in love. I fell in love when I got to meet what was behind the day to day image. I got to meet a strong, intelligent, mature woman named ninja blades who wanted to live every day of her life learning how to have a bit more fun and be happy. I want to show her what that means, and I want to spend all of my time learning it by being with her. Her obsessive attitude matches mine and that over-excessive attitude makes everyday something new, exilerating, and unexpected. There's a bridge of trust we built that exceeds all things in my life. A trust created from the time we spent together. And an unpredictable relationship that grows everyday. A love that opened to me a new way of thought, and taught me what it means to really try and seek happiness. This is something that no one else can ever do or could have showed me.
There is no one more perfect than FUCKING NINJA BLADES.

Cody's alright, although the rock throw attack is pretty much useless in most cases (not as much as, say, Dudley's rose, but you won't be using it a whole lot). And he's one of the few characters that I prefer the English dub over the Japanese (along with Juri, Hakan, Zangief, Adon, and Ken).
Also bought the costume pack for the SSFIV charas and goddamn, they managed to make Hakan even MORE racist. Dudley however looks bad-ass, and that alone is enough to make up for Super Mario Makoto.
